Consider the following pairs:

  1. Amir Khusru→ Parrot of India
  2. Baba Farid→  Zinda Pir
  3. Hazar Dinari→ Malik Kafur

Which of the above is/are correct?

Answer: [A] 1 & 3 Only

Amir Khusru was a Sufi musician, poet and scholar. He was a mystic and a spiritual disciple of Nizamuddin Auliya of Delhi. He was also known as Tut-i Hind (Parrot of India). Aurangzeb was called “Zinda Pir” or “Living Saint” in Mughal India. Malik Kafur was a slave general of Allauddin Khilji. Malik Kafur won for Allauddin Khilji the Deccan territories of Devgiri. He was originally a Hindu slave and was bought for 1000 dinars by Allauddin’s General, Nusrat Khan, and so Malik Kafur is also known as Hazar Dinari.
